Full Moon Sound Bath

What is a sound bath?

Spiritually Inspired living is a term I use to describe the commitment to seeking, embracing and sharing joy in our everyday lives. It is the understanding that daily responsibilities and stressors will always be present but when balanced with a commitment to Spiritually inspired living the weights of them are less.
A sound bath “surrounds” your body with different sounds, which causes a shifted mental state that many feel can be relaxing in a way that’s similar to meditation.
When you sink into a Sound Bath and guide your awareness to your listening, you allow your brain waves to slow, shifting from a more active state to a more relaxed state, or even a dreamlike state.
The sounds introduced during a Sound Bath are an invitation into a deeper state of consciousness, an opportunity to unplug from external stimuli and to gain perspective on what’s going on within you. The goal of the experience is to invite deep rest and relaxation, and explore self-inquiry and self-discovery.

What should I expect during the Full Moon Sound Bath?

We being each full moon sound bath with a short discussion about the meaning behind this month’s full moon. A coordinating chakra is chosen for it’s specific likeness to the full moon’s energy and we focus on activating or clearing its energy. A guided meditation begins the sound bath journey followed by a (solo artist) symphony of crystal and Tibeten singing bowls, chimes, gongs, and more.
Come prepared for relaxation in comfortoable clothes, blankets, pillows, water/tea, journal/pen, and a yoga mat.
Upcoming Full Moon Experiences at Charlevoix Circle of Arts:

April 6-Pink Moon

April’s moon is known as the pink moon, and like the many other astrological events that signal a time for change, this is the perfect opportunity to get rid of any cosmic junk you’ve been carrying around. The pink moon is all about newness, freshness, and letting go of the things that aren’t serving you.

The pink moon is named after the pink flowers such as phlox that are the first to bloom in spring. It is a time for rebirth and connecting with nature.

Activating the Root Chakra is the perfect way to put us back in energetic balance. The Root Chakra governs the foundations of our lives. This includes our basic needs, sense of security, home and family life, and how we feel in our bodies and on this earth. Spring is such a transitional time as we come out of slow moving winter and into our warmer seasons of growth and expansion. Grounding into ourselves and our root chakra will help to keep us firmly on our paths, giving us an inner sense of security which manifests as clear thinking and good concentrations. It allows us to set goals and prioritize and carry out tasks in order to achieve those goals.

May 5-Flower Moon

The May Full Flower Moon meaning is a time to focus on your spiritual growth. This full moon is all about blossoming into your best self and reaching your highest potential.

Now is the time to bring goals and dreams to life. You might need to answer some hard questions about yourself and what needs to happen to make your intentions materialize. Don’t let anxiety or nervousness hold you back.

The Solar Plexus, aka Manipura serves as our personal energy center. It relates to our personal identity and power as well as self-esteem, willpower, and ability to achieve our goals. Activating the solar plexus during the full flower moon is akin to giving ourselves a spiritual “gut check”. This moon is all about reaching our goals and highest potential. This is the perfect time to determine what blocks are impeding our spiritual growth and beyond so we may release them. We will harness this energy to go deep within and be honest with the way we feel about ourselves and the path we are on. It’s a great time to make changes and usher in the sun that comes with June’s summer solstice.
